Recording and mixing is carried out with the latest version of Steinberg’s Cubase Pro. Audio is recorded with a good range of microphones by manufacturers such as Warm Audio, Rode, SE Electronics and AKG through valve mic preamps by ART and TLAudio. Mixing in Cubase 14 Pro with Universal Audio’s UAD2 hardware accelerated plugins for eq, compression and reverbs etc. Also there is a full range of native plugins from Waves, IK Multimedia, SSL, Sonnox, Fabfilter and many more. Mastering is carried out in Wavelab Pro 12. Also CD and DDP mastering/authoring is available for any CD duplication needs.

Here at New Junction Music Room I have an extensive library of virtual instruments and samplers that will let you add to, and transform a simple guitar/piano song arrangement into a full musical production in any genre. A comprehensive range of virtual drums and percussion, with all kinds of pianos, organs, keyboards, basses, guitars and guitar amp simulators, classic synthesizers, plus orchestral and ethnic instrument sounds are here at the studio.

The studio also has a number of 19-inch rack hardware analogue effects processors with five reverb and multi effects units by Lexicon and Yamaha plus 7 channels of analogue compression by Klark Teknik, dbx and ART. All these hardware processors can be easily patched into a mix in Cubase Pro 14 allowing a hybrid analogue/digital approach to mixing music.

Audio restoration and “demixing” is catered for with Spectralayers Pro 12. This opens up opportunities for restoring and enhancing old recordings or demos and even to separate or “demix” old recordings and add new parts and create new mixes.
