I’ve worked as a recording/mix engineer and musician since the mid 1980s and have extensive experience in all kinds of music recording and production. I’ve worked with name artists and amateur musicians alike in the studio and out on location for concert and ambient recording projects. I’ve worked with musicians from many diverse genres including rock, pop and folk, and orchestral, choral, big band and jazz.

Welcome to New Junction Music Room a compact project studio run by Matt Watkins in Abergavenny. Specialising in recording and music production for acoustic musicians, singer songwriters, and for mixing/re-mixing projects recorded elsewhere. It’s suitable for recording up to three or four musicians at a time.
The studio employs a “hybrid” approach to recording and mixing using the latest in digital music production software, plugins and virtual instrument libraries combined with classic analogue outboard effects and processors.
